Hello there, I'm Max Claus, a cinematographer and photographer based in San Francisco. I was born and raised in the East Bay, and I've always had a passion for capturing images that are both visually stunning and emotionally compelling. My work focuses on commercial, documentary, and editorial projects. I received my Master of Fine Arts degree in Photography from AAU in 2017. During my time at AAU, I discovered a love for cinematography, and I've been hooked ever since. I find that Cinema allows me to tell stories using motion and sound in a way that photography cannot, and it's been an exciting journey to explore this medium. When I'm not behind the camera, you can find me surfing or playing basketball. I love spending time outdoors and having fun whenever I get the chance. Over the years, I've worked with production companies, agencies, and in-house teams. I pride myself on my ability to understand and meet everyone's wants and needs, and I always strive to create work that exceeds expectations.
